New video of Rex and Rob Ryan bar fight in Nashville

Now without Calvin Pryor and Marcus Gilchrist, the Jets are going unapologetically youthful at safety. Based on the early returns from sixth overall draft pick Jamal Adams, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Adams and second-round pick Marcus Maye are expected to form a rookie duo at strong and free safety. Fifth-year pro Shamarko Thomas is behind them, and free-agency pickup Corey White could add safety depth in addition to work at corner. Ronald Martin, Doug Middleton and Rontez Miles are the only other safeties on the roster.

With Revis gone at corner, the Jets added 2012 first-round pick Morris Claiborne after his disappointing five seasons with the Cowboys. They tendered Marcus Williams, and Buster Skrine returns as the primary nickel man. Behind the starters, though, is a group of young corners, including sixth-round draft picks Jeremy Clark and Derrick Jones. If Adams and Maye play as well as many expect at safety, cornerback might be New York’s weakest position on defense.
