Ravens’ Terrell Suggs on potential Colin Kaepernick signing: ‘We want him’

Terrell Suggs would have no problem seeing Colin Kaepernick on his team’s roster.

The Ravens linebacker on Sunday discussed the possibility of Baltimore taking a chance on the controversial quarterback, saying Kaepernick would be accepted by his new teammates if he signed with the organization.

“Hell yeah, if he’s going to help us win,” Suggs told ESPN. “We have no issues. Not in the locker room. Hell yeah, we want him.”

With veteran quarterback Joe Flacco expected to be sidelined with a back injury and backup Ryan Mallett struggling for consistency, the Ravens could certainly benefit from Kaepernick’s experience after he spent the better part of six seasons leading the 49ers under center.

Gathers, a sixth-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft, was one of three Dallas players temporarily removed from practice. Gathers, rookie wide receiver Noah Brown and veteran linebacker Kyle Wilber all returned to the field after calming down.

The scuffle began after Wilber beat Gathers to the quarterback on a pass-rushing drill. A beaten Gathers pushed Wilber past quarterback Dak Prescott and into the line of offensive players watching.

After coming back onto the field, Wilber and Gathers hugged it out Cheap Infant Jerseys before returning to practice.

Gathers, who spent his rookie season on the practice squad, did say before training camp he needs “a certain type of nasty” to transition from a basketball forward to NFL tight end.
