Coming off a 4-5 season in 2017, Lawrenceville (N.J.) football is looking to improve its record and have a shot at the MAPL title in 2018. And adding players like (soon to be) post-graduate Ken Bohnenkamp is what could help the team achieve its goals.
A 6-2, 210-pound senior out of St. Mary’s (Remsen, Iowa), Bohnenkamp is versatile and has an FBS skill-set, yet didn’t produce the offer list his talents would suggest. He claims a 4.65-second 40-yard dash, 4.28-second shuttle, a 300-pound bench press and 36.5-inch vertical leap.
But how did he end up enrolling at Lawrenceville, located 20 hours away from his home
When I decided I wanted to go the prep school route, the word got around and coach Flaherty, he called me and said,’Hey, I love your film. We’d love to have you apply and become a Lawrenceville Big Red.’
So that’s how I kind of got rolling there. Some other prep schools contacted me and said they wanted me, but I liked Lawrenceville the best. I could tell coach Flaherty had a plan for me and I liked it.
Excuse me, I need a moment. The Texans have that all-important young, cheap quarterback locked up. They also have an elite defense that should be dominant again if the stars can stay healthy in 2018. Throwing an elite receiver into the mix would instantly make Houston a championship contender. The big issue here for Houston is that it has no picks until the third round of the draft. So, obviously general manager Brian Gaine would have to get creative. The Texans do have eight total picks this year, and perhaps they dangle a future first-round pick as bait.
That’s insane, even given Bell’s talents. Also worth noting: for as good as Bell Top Cheap Jerseys is, he ranked No. 5 in total value among all running backs last season, according to Football Super Cheap Jerseys Outsiders, behind Dion Lewis (who just signed a four-year, $19.8 million deal with the Titans ), Todd Gurley, Alvin Kamara and Kareem Hunt. Kamara and Hunt, by the way, were rookie third-round picks who earned $465,000 last season.
